It is invariably my belief that we should live through every second of our life that last for only a few decades with happiness, because life is ours to live. However, the fact that my life has been in an extremely humdrum course of late, couple with the grueling study assignments and pesky pressure, have been excruciating me to no end and relentlessly casting a damper on my pursuit of enjoying my life to the full. At the moment, it disturbs me a great deal to reckon on my life of recent days. It somehow seems that recently the lack of touching moments, expedient excitements, bright spots and all, has been stoking monotony and suppressing an ebullient heart. Everyday, what is indelibly in my mind and exclusively engrosses my attention is the heavy study, the forthcoming demanding tests for obtaining the certificates, and the prospect of grave “rat race” in the future job-hunting.

Each morning I drag myself from the bed to get myself well poised for the stressful study, and every night, I lie down in my bed with a maxed-out body. Groovy life of this kind with nothing to write home about has almost strangled me, and all that I want is to immediately shake off every burden that is more than I could undertake. Time and again, I feel like I can barely have the leisure to take a deep breath. However tough the reality might be and however stressed I might feel, true is that there is no escaping the fact that I should hold on, gut it out and never throw a towel. Anyway, this, with no ground for suspicion, is life and it is the life for everyone without exception available.

It is always joyful to listen to music that can induce me peaceful state of mind, and to crack a smile at small inspiring moments. Over time, I become a bit stronger. And out of every flop, I learn a worthy lesson. And I keep looking forward and striving ahead either at the sticking point or in hardships. The thing is that by no means shall I be induced to veer from my right track to dream actualization and self-fulfillment. Through the ups and downs in life, and the ebbs and flows in yet the even harder aspect which is emotional problems, I grow so much more than stronger and more grateful. I learn the rudimental thing of not evading but facing the reality with boldness and dogged willpower, and that persistence will carve out a way to brightness. Actually, life flops in this field, but so long as we don’t fail to believe and endeavor with adamant effort, it will succeed in another one ultimately.

However tortuous the life journey is, all that we should do is to always keep in mind that life is ours to live. Difficulties will always be there, the bottom line is to confront with and surmount it, the first nut to crack is to spare no effort to dispel worries and concerns from the mind, and the only sure-fire way to success is to work painstakingly with growing investment of efforts and flaming confidence. Don’t get fiasco-phobic but keep pressing ahead, all fiascos trampled under the feet. Through every defeat, there is a valuable lesson to learn, and out of defeat will come roaring success.

I feel I owe cherry and myself recording the days , good and bad, we shared; the smiles and the tears we took to heart.

Time erases everything . my memories of cherry have been already fuzzy, and they at some point in the future will only be found at some corner of my mind covered with dust ,or even worse ,beyond recognition. I know if i don't act now I might regret losing them one day.

I am not very much of a writer, I remember that going through essay writing part was always a nightmarish experience during my school days. I can only try my best to find the bits and pieces in my relationship with cherry, but i can not put them together in a chronological order or organized fashion.

here is a day that stood out:

cherry had been in this new city thousands miles away from her home , perhaps, for months. despite others helped and were helping her a lot: her mom's friend found her a place close to her school to live in ; a chinese student who happened to be taking classes from the same teacher was her personal translator now , otherwise cherry 's piano classes with the teacher would be impossible for her terrible english; and I of course was trying to take care the rest of her worries. cherry missed home.

I could somehow understand that cherry missed her family , the people , or the mere hustling in china, for she 's got few people to talk to but for the girl and me and she was never a person who could go through a day quietly on her own.. so that one day she wanted to go to the chinatown , which was located downtown, hoping to experience the missing part of her life since the day she came to this new country. i reluctantly promised her that i would come with her that weekend.

it was saturday finally, cherry was a smart girl in many aspects-- she could see my unwillingness on my face, I never liked a crowded place, especially it was filthy as well( such a hypocrite i was) but she just pretened not seeing it at all, she was really eager to go to the chinatown. to buy some preserves was just one reason of the trip.

here we were at the subway station, just as cherry dropped a ticket and was ready to push the turnstile to get in, i said: " i am not coming." " why? you said yes," cherry managed not losing her cool for maybe just two seconds, and it was silence between us. all of sudden , cherry exploded . what followed was storm and lightning, i was literally yanked onto the escalator leading to the exit and then passing round glass-walled waiting area for picking-up and dropping-off passengers. I knew cherry well when it came to her temper, i knew there was nothing i could do but try not to make a scene on my side , i just let her yell at me, kick me and punch me. there were people watching us all the way , then we were onto the parking lot after crossing the driveway . " embarassing" was the only word on my mind and I just did not want it to get it any worse, hoping this was going to end as quietly and quickly as possible.

now both of us were standing beside my car, i tried to drag her into my car so that it was kind of a little private, at least that's what i thought. then came the climax of our drama: a security guard in uniform materized from nowhere( he must have come from the complex , which was right beside the parking lot ,which housed a few government agencies as well as a few private enterprises ) , as we both watched this guy approach us in surprise and trying to figure out " what the hell this guy is going to do to us?" . the man walked straight towards me and stopped a few feet away asking" i was told that you were hit, are you ok?". his sympathy was not unfounded , besides the accounts he was given by the others who witnessed eariler on, he must have seen a small part himself , and last, look at the two guys standing in front of him: i was a guy of average height by chinese standard and thin while cherry was a tall girl and seemed to overpower me easily with the big bones she inherited from her father in her body. all of a sudden, i found myself trying to fight my tears back, but it was not because i was overwhelmed by this guy's overflowing sympathy for me on his face and in his voice, i was simply overcome by the feeling of embarrassment . " how could this be happening , i looked like being beat up by a girl and this guy came to my rescue!"

the well-intentioned security guard left and cherry ended all this by telling me" i was scared!" , and i said , lucky it was not a police officer.

Don't miss the guidelines ,restrictions ,rules and regulations of all kinds which can usually be found in your student bandbook.Cconseder them well-balanced food for thought .What pieces of paper need
to be handed in ?What can /can't you do in class?What can /can't you do in your student residence ?who has authority for what ?what do you need to complete to graduate ?
Write the word "study "on the walls of your bedroom,bathroom ,and maybe it will help t o write it on a piece of paper and stick it on the tele phone ,tu and the kitchen table .Consider this -you are paying thousands of dollars for your courses.You pay every time you have to repeat or replace a course .
Just to help in the calculations :a course that requires three hours in class per week will require at least six hours of study per week.You know what you have to do ;don't underestimate the time it takes to be prepared for classes .papers and exams.
Take as much time as you need to explore new ideas in college .Don't be afraid of the beyond .This is learning to make good choices and it takes practice and dixcipline.

Having deserted english for neally two years and vaguely passed CET-4,I am writing composition for the coming CET-6 all one day today,encournting masses of unfamiliar easy words and phrases which are to be looked up in both kinds of dictionary.It is so upset an experience that coming from all my laziness,a worst habit,while habit is hard to die.THANKS to my partner staying with me all the time,i don't jump up confronting the embrassment.

Timidity and cowardice exert the last drenched tear in my eyes,strength and enthusiasm exhuast adrift the moment ultra-criticism incurred for my inept and inefficient efforts trying to regain confidence.

With solitary figures lingering and loitering in the empty,saddeningly soulless house,with owl hovering and hollering boisterously and tumultuously up the chimney,with unscrupulous cracks fizzling and creepy voices annoying around the corner, the flickering light in the murky house extinguish gradually.

steping out the door, freezing coldness penetrates every single corner of my body, i uncontrollably shiver ,and nervously suss out the surroundings : grass melancholy and trees taciturn, scree road slathered and sprinkled with fallen withered leaves,glass crystal stone inlaid sporadically flash with inviting gleam reflected by the murky moonlight permeating from the crossing trees branches,and occasional twitter and warble of the birds unscrupulously break the surreal silence,inviting some inspirational echoes reverberating consistently.

With reminiscent of past,a fleeting guilt and repentance bellow in the minds, i intuitionally halt and turn around ,the road i have covered seem unchangeable , only the stamped fallen leaves shattered relentlessly and the crystal become tarnishing and not touchingly spectacular , neveretheless,the air adrift smell less amorous and increasingly sour,the seemingly straight scree road evolve to be crooky ,the taciturn trees insanely twist arms with no gale blowing.

I unconsciously squat on the rock aside,lean half down,with eyes aimlessly staring at the obscure sky, unexpectedly, vague stars shine distantly with struggling efforts,endeavoring light all the massive and astronomical universe,the darker the velarium,the brightier it be;so painstaking and arduously strinking. the fizzy and creepy unnamed and annoying rats studiously and enormously busy harvesting for the winter pantingly cross the trees and grass probing the palpable foods,with owl ogling rapaciously up, waiting for an effortless feast and revel. it 's an extremely vicious hide-and-seek.

Sighing,whining,grudging and freting,with no budge advancing in my life,i entirely get enveloped in the irreversible redeem while losing the faith obtain another divine grants from continuous efforts. all of a suuden, murky moonlight tear up the coalesced knots of clouds.
